About Superintendent's Corner

A Publication Built for Education Leaders and the Partners Who Support Them

Superintendent's Corner is a digital magazine and news platform focused entirely on American K-12 school districts. We cover the people running them, the challenges they deal with every day, and the partners working alongside them.

Why We Started Superintendent's Corner

We started Superintendent's Corner because we felt school districts were being underserved by existing media. They deserved more than a small section in a general business publication or a few wire-service headlines repackaged as coverage.

Our approach is simple: we sit down with district leadership and dig into what is actually happening on the ground. The programs they are building, the facilities they are maintaining, the budgets they are managing, and the goals they are working toward. This is serious work. It deserves serious coverage.

Alongside our district spotlight editions, we pull together the most relevant K-12 news from around the country every day. Technology, safety, infrastructure, budgets, policy, leadership. If it matters to the people running school districts, we cover it.

Our goal is to give American public education the publication it deserves, and to connect the leaders shaping it with the partners who help them do the job.

Daniel Mercer
Founder & Editor

Daniel Mercer has spent more than fifteen years in B2B and association media, working in both editorial research and advertising sales. Across digital business publications and a national association-media company, he has interviewed executives, built in-depth company and organization profiles, and helped advertisers connect with the people and institutions they serve.

He started Superintendent's Corner after noticing how little dedicated coverage K-12 school districts receive compared to almost every other sector of the economy. The goal is straightforward: give district leaders the kind of serious, in-depth attention usually reserved for the corporate world, and connect them with the partners who help them get the work done.

What We Do

District Spotlight Magazine

Each edition takes a close look at one or more school districts. We cover leadership, strategy, facilities, technology, and the partners the district relies on. The feature is editorial and in-depth.

Daily K–12 News Curation

Between editions, our website surfaces the most important stories in K–12 education from the country's most trusted outlets: Chalkbeat, Education Week, District Administration, and local public media. One place to stay current, updated daily.

Advertising Platform

We give the companies that work with school districts a direct line to the people making purchasing decisions. If you work in technology, construction, food service, transportation, curriculum, or any other field serving K-12 districts, our spotlight editions put you in front of the right audience.

How We Work

01

Districts Are Never Charged

School districts featured in Superintendent's Corner are never asked to pay for their coverage. Our editorial features are earned, not bought. The district's story is told on its merits.

02

Advertising Is Clearly Labeled

Advertisements are always clearly labeled. Our editorial content and our advertising content are kept strictly separate, no exceptions.

03

News Is Attributed to Its Source

When we curate news from other publications, we always credit the original reporter and publication, and link directly to the original article. We never present others' journalism as our own.

04

We Let the District Speak for Itself

Our district features are built around real conversations with district leadership, not press releases. We ask direct questions and let the superintendent's voice carry the story.
